Counselling

The CLAIR Mental Health Support service is provided free for current participants of the JET Programme. Click here for more information on how the service works. Want to find your own counsellor? The links below can help.

International Mental Health Professionals Japan

A professional organization that maintains its own standards for qualification and continuing education for ex-pat counselors and therapists residing in Japan. The homepage has a database, searchable by location and preferred language, that may help find a counselor in your specific area. Be aware, however, that the numbers are still small, and mostly concentrated in urban areas.
